Computer Tips: Protect your data.
For those of you who read my blog regularly you will have heard me share these computer tips before but somethings definitely need repeating.
- Have an anti virus program running on your computer. You do not need to use the one that comes with the computer. Do not have more than one anti virus program on your computer. More than one will not help and cause more problems.
- Back up your data regularly. Don’t end up with that horrible feeling when the worst happens and you have lost something that is really important. That goes for personal as well as business computers. And with back up it doesn’t hurt to have some redundancy built into your back up plan. So go ahead an use an external hard drive or thumb drive and save it to the cloud.
- Have a really good password on your wifi network. And the word password is a lousy password. Please use numbers, letters and characters. I know its tough to remember so write it down and file it away.
